BIO

Eve Bradford is a writer, interdisciplinary artist and whole system curator; utilizing extensive studies in art, language, performance, cultural theory, spiritual practice and permaculture to create events, performances, workshops and environments. Her work exists in the liminal space between activism and prayer, science and art, chaos and structure. Eve is dedicated to the revitalization of language as a sacred tool of culture crafting and to art’s rightful place as an integral part of any sustainable system. 

Eve has done production work, performance and teaching at Glade Festival (UK), Shambhala Festival (BC), Burning Man (US), Symbiosis Festival (US), Oregon Country Fair (US), Alex Grey’s CoSM (NYC), BaliSpirit Festival (Bali) and many more. She is the producer of the Synergenesis visionary culture events and a performing member of the Funginears. She is the co-author of a series of art culture catalogues with Delvin Solkinson and facilitates the Serpent Path workshops with Isis Indriya. She has taught writing and creative practice free lance and at Precious Life Wellness Village (Berkeley, CA), the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies (Rhinebeck, NY) and City Repair’s Village Building Convergence (Portland, OR). She is currently working on the memoir of legendary humanitarian Mama Kia.

Eve holds a BA in Art and Culture from the Gallatin Division of Individualized Study at NYU and an MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts.

2009-

 Events Program and Outreach–Precious Life Wellness Village–Berkeley, CA

 Co-Author–Memoir of Mama Kia–Lamay, Peru

hired by legendary humanitarian Mama Kia to facilitate and co-author the writing of her life story as a handbook for others, at her orphanage in the Sacred Valley of Peru.

Worked as cook and co-manager of Omega Café, studied writing (with Lynda Barry, Brett Bevell), yoga, meditation, movement. 

 

1998-2001

 Co-founder and Organizer, Reclaim the Streets NYC

While in school, helped found and organize a group of community activists focused on the privatization of public space in Manhattan. Projects included throwing large-scale illegal street parties/spectacles at key locations around the city (Astor Place, Times Square, Tompkins Square), billboard modification, community garden actions and much more. Personal responsibilities included writing many of the press releases and other propaganda for the group, logistical organizing, puppet making, legal strategizing and general revelry.
